When I first heard this story, I couldn't help but think of this from Austin Powers,

"Wonder if it was the inspiration for the sky drawing!"
Maybe this was the start of it all?
In August this year, an RAF fighter pilot drew a 35-mile penis on radars monitoring skies over Lincolnshire, England.
Regards,
Jay.

The phrase "35-mile penis" needs to work its way into popular culture.

The public restroom wall aspect aside, it seems like it would be really tricky to draw any kind of recognizable "picture" at jet speed, and get the proportions right. At least with sky writing, each letter is a fairly tight maneuver, while this extends (if you will) over some miles. I'd say there was some tricky piloting involved, along with the juvenile sense of humor. Any pilots who can tell us what difficulty level of flying this is?

I will opine that it was top gun flying to be able to create that drawing: very skillful.
(I am a pilot, but not jet rated, not even twin prop pistons.)

I bet the top brass were laughing their asses off along with the pilot. They are probably just putting on a show for the media making it look like they are pissed off. Anyone with a sense of humor would find that funny.
