A friend just found this at a second hand store and asked me if I knew anything about it or it’s worth. Any ideas?

It appears to still be sealed in the original packaging.

If that's a cardboard cartoon I'm sure the tobacco inside is unsmokable whether it's been opened or not. Still might have some value to a collector though. Probably a @pipestud question

I’d say the tobacco is not smokable but as a collectible from a Ww2 standpoint I’d say like $20-$50?
there should be some type of tax stamp on it that with some research will date the tobacco.
also check the US address (if given) and if it has no zip code it could be that old.

The crazy thing is, he got it for around 15us...so like 6x cheaper than a pouch of borkum riff here. I’m sure he will smoke it up regardless of how bad it is unless he finds someone who collects stuff from that era

C&D Pegasus is supposed to be very similar to the old Bond Street. I smoked some old Bond Street from the 50's & 60's and I concur about it being similar to Pegasus.

If that was produced for military distribution it may not have a tax stamp.

If you go to that tobacco reviews link Jesse added, you will see that the only other review besides jiminks is someone smoking a 94 year old tin with some level of success and enjoyment. That, of course, was a TIN.
