Update on my Mr. Brog pipe -seller (Watson)trying to close case

Has anyone ever heard of this before, i would like some input please
On my Mr.Brog pipe i ordered from Watson in Ukrain, i put in bid of 2.00 on brand new pipe which retails there for 24.00. My bid was accepted, i paid it and shipping of 9.99 for a total of 11.99 via paypal. Now i recieve message saying my offer was reviewed and declined because it was originally accepted by mistake!! and seller wants to close case. Naturally i refused as payment was already made. Can anyone shed some light on this. I already filled out the action section on E-Bay for this stating that i had paid and would not accept the refusal.

I had a expierence where I bid for and won a lot of 4 freehand pipes. I paid straight away via paypal, while waiting for delivery I noticed that the same 4 pipes were up for sale again on ebay with 3 days to go, I complained to ebay and stated that the pipes that I had paid for and were technically mine were up for sale again, ebay did nothing to stop the auction and I complained every day untill they were resold for more than I had paid for them, it took two months for me to get my money back and never recieved an apology from ebay or the seller. This was the only bad transaction I have ever had with ebay after many years of trouble free trading but I still feel angry at the way I was treated.

this Watson company is a dealer i think for Mr Brog pipes in the ukrain. So i may be dealin with the company directly, im not sure yet so i am terrebly confused. U see, this pipe was not up for bids, it was listed as "Buy Now," and when u click it u git an option of "make an offer" I go email next day that said ur bid was accepted, i paid via paypay then got email saying ur offer was accepted by mistake and they are withdrawing!!! Money is already sent to them also

I bid $5 on a $32 pipe and they counteroffered to $30. I am not surprised that the $2 was a mistake. I am not sure how yours case will end. Perhaps a compromise will be necessary. Good luck.

i have kept the acceptance email in folder in case its needed for verification so at least i have that, if someone tells me how to post email here i can show everyone!

There's no way to force them to send you the pipe. My advice is to accept the refund, what you do next is up to you. I would leave negative Feedback, but be aware that if you do, you'll probably be blocked from biddimg on their listings.

yup i reckon ur right kcvet67 an i imagine thats what ill be doin. I wont leave neg feedback on e-bay but lookin for advice here. an i figure your route is the best one

E-bay should get this corrected for you, at least get your money back. If not leave negative review.

$2.00 pipe? C'mon man. It is a mistake. You don't want to steal the pipe do you? I think if they refund the money then everyone can remain friends. Taking advantage of a mistake doesn't sound like the right thing to do.

Who make mistake must pay for the mistake.Watson it's a mr Brog dealer? Well inform Brog that dealer isn't correct.Anyway to my opinion if you don't conclude the purchase you don't lose nothing.At finally it's simply a peer pipe

They are bound by ebay's rules to honour their contract with buyers, just as we are obligated to fulfil with them - at worst ebay will give them an invisible "non-performing seller" strike on their a/c - a buyer is only allowed 3 per year before being booted; seller will be vastly different depending on t/over.
As Maurizio says, at the end of the day it's just a peer pipe and I'm not sure if he's meaning a "pear" pipe or a "peer" pipe, but either description fits perfectly - I would NOT lose any sleep over it at all based on my experience with these pear/peer pipes from that region.
They are not something I would wish to smoke in company, more the sort of thing I'd take bush bashing when 4WD'ing or working with the cattle, because they're definitely not the most salubrious pipes by any stretch of the most creative imagination.

Totally unrelated to anything going on here, but it did bring this to mind.
Yesterday I was driving along the freeway when I see a motorcycle helmet lying on the side. I make the next exit, loop around down the opposite feeder to the next crossover and circle back around to the helmet just behind another guy who had the same idea. he got to it first (not that there was a race, he was picking it up as I pulled up).
I asked him what it was and he said "it is a Harley Davidson helmet!" it was one of those German helmet styled lids, sold in the Harley retail stores.
I told him I had the same idea he did when i saw it, and made some remark how he got there first. All friendly so far.
He asks me if i have a bike, and I say I do, and he asks me how much i will give him for the helmet.
I politely declined and drove off.
I guess he had all rights to do so, but it just seemed odd that he would pick something off the road he likely had no real use for, and less than a minute later is offering it up for bid. I guess fortunes have been made doing the same, so maybe he is on to something.

Pfft, how's about taking it to the local Police Station in case the owner starts trying to relocate it through lost and found - I guess if that sort of mentality runs rampant through a society people wouldn't even try to relocate their lost possessions, especially wallets, jewellery and such like - how very, very sad. This was a very small illustration of why society has become so screwed.
