A French pipe marked "Golf"
I've often seen this pipe when perusing, it just always pops up. And I'll tell ya, I actually really like something about the shape. It's like an egg meets a 4 square - two shapes I like alot.
It's definitely interesting and you don't see it often. Looks like you've got a great example with some great grain. Congrats

Possibly but it would be an awful nice pipe for me to smoke on the course. Due to the danger of damage or loss, cobs are the pipe of choice for the golf course.
Not here! Since I am the only pipe smoker in my club, the one time I left a pipe on the course, it was returned to me pronto. (Also not a fan of cobs)
As to damage, I smoke on shortish shots and putting, but a full shot I am afraid I bite through the stem.
