Unsmoked Sasieni Four Dot Natural Available

Someone just listed an unsmoked, Sasieni Four Dot Natural, Cumberland shape. A good BIN and offer. I don't see this shape very often. Someone grab this and save me from myself.

Sasieni's of that era had pre-Carbed bowls, looks unsmoked to me.

The seller has other pipes listed and appears to be a pipe smoker. I would double check whether it is unsmoked.

This shot makes me thinl unsmoked. That factory ring from the bit on the bottom looks untouched. (identical to the interior of my unsmoked Ashford).

I see what you mean about the ring. I had hoped to see the cross-hatch tooling marks inside the bowl, but I buy your case.

With the coated Sasieni bowl, the tooling marks are most likely not visible (none in mine). The clean shank would confirm the status, but lacking in the ad.

Good find. I wondered about the Cumberland name, as I hadn't heard of that town. We have a "Cumberland" here in Maryland, near me, but it doesn't have the same ring!

Cumberland is an ancient county in the most North west of England and bordering on Scotland. The county is now called Cumbria although many English people still call it Cumberland.

We have a Cumberland Bay, Cumberland County and Fort Cumberland here in New Brunswick, many names from the old country. :mrgreen:
