A MM Great Dane. Waiting on a stem. Have a few estates I won that I haven't made it to yet. I usually only smoke once a week or so. Maybe twice if I'm lucky. And now since I am unemployed for a month and right arm is in a sling for a week, I might smoke a little more often. Wow, I can type one-handed. lol

I don't have enough pipes to have a unsmoked one. My hole collection is like three briers and two cobs. I have a bunch of types of baccy though.

I have smoked all of my pipes, except this Meerschaum. It was a gift, and is deceptively small in reality. It smells of root beer, and seems incredibly fragile. It is in its original case in my pipe cabinet.

Of all my pipes, this is the one I would hate most to lose, and after already losing a pipe that meant a lot to me, I wont take a chance with this one.

I have a Stanwell Buffalo Poker that is unsmoked. I have do many other pipes I guess I just don't want to smoke it until I have to as the value will go down. It's not an expensive pipe by any means but is one of my nicest. It probably won't get smoked until some of my other pipes burnout or something and who knows how long that will be haha.

I have many new pipes that haven't been smoked yet. I have around 18 so far. I have my favorites, John Aylesbury, Peterson 80S and my Cusano Calabash. My newbie's will have to wait until I can assign them each a blend. I have many blends to try and judge if I'll re-buy them or not. When I come across a good blend, I assign a pipe to it, one pipe , one blend. I sample using my Peterson or Aylesbury or even my Nording. From there, I smoke a new pipe with that blend. Then the pipe and tobacco are stored together. It's fun to match each together.

I find great deals on excellent pipes all the time. I'm retired, so I have the time.
Where's my picture ?

Thanks Uberam3rica, I found that on ebay. The bidding got out of my price range also, but the wife stepped in and made me buy it.

Since I usually buy my cobs a dozen at a time, some remain unsmoked until they are needed, but they all eventually will be smoked.

I have tried to keep a pipe unsmoked a few times but give in about 2 days and fire them up, so that would be a no for Me.

I have 2 60's era Medicos that I traded some junk for that are "new" and unsmoked. An Ebony (black bowl w/ white stem) and a Magnet top (minus the "top). The Ebony still has the original price sticker of $3.50 on the stem! Haven't smoked these as I'm not sure I want to keep them or trade them to a Medico fan for some other goodies I would smoke. Also have a new MM cob that I want to "play with" a bit before smoking.

I have an unsmoked Savinelli I bought last year. I'm looking for the perfect blend to dedicate this pipe too.

I exported smoking pipes from a German manufacturer from 1972 thru 1978. I still have a box full of carved face briars that I bought in 1974 and never sold. One day I shall put them up for sale, I do believe.

Anyone else wishing they had so many pipes they haven't gotten around to smoking them all?
I don't own any pipes that have never been smoked.
I do have one with a broken stem, and a crummy rosewood with burnout, that I no longer smoke

I have approximately 25 pipes and they have all been smoked, granted some more than others but all get smoked. I have increased my inventory just so I will have a variety. Even if I get an expensive one, it will be smoked. that's why I took up pipes. Each to their own. Regards, Sam :puffy:

Just like Recoilrob I have a few unsmoked pipes, bought or received as a gift in better times. About fifty, I'd say. Some of them I'll never smoke, others I might. The dozen or so pipes I have for daily use are more than enough, both in number and quality, so why break in a new one? It's not my favourite hobby.
