To this point, if OP ever gets his hands on some, he'd probably be better of reselling it and using the funds to buy a half ton of some other blend!
My thoughts as well. It’s tobacco - and no matter what - it doesn’t perform in a manner that suggests anything else. Quiet Nights is more than capable of scratching whatever itch Penzance could. In my opinion.

I have a stash of the UK variant, Special Latakia Flake, but it's quite fresh and the lat doesn't come forward until it has a couple of years on it - unfortunately, I couldn't keep away from the 6-7 year stuff I had, which was very different in that respect. Still a satisfyingly very smooth smoke when fresh, not a lat bomb though. Needs to breathe for a couple of weeks in a jar to get to that point.

Penzance is truly a nice blend, but nothing more. It is not the Holy Grail. Honestly, there are many other blends that are in the same realm - English/Scottish/Oriental that are easily as good, if not better.
I had an aged bag and traded for a pipe. Rather have a moderately nice pipe than an easily replaced pipe blend. IMHO, definitely not worth the overpriced cost from resellers.
