Simon I have received my package yesterday and just finished my 1st and definitely not last bowl of Condor. Thanks again. Also thanks for the Russian fags, very smooth, quality smokes. I still have yet to try the St Bruno, but again, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. PM sent as well.

Halfway through my 1st bowl of St Bruno and am really enjoying it. Started to read some reviews (I like reading reviews about mid bowl so as not to have any prejudice towards a blend before I smoke it) and many say you either like Condor or St Bruno, but not usually both. Was just curious what say you? Obviously you're a Condor man, but do you hate the SB? Only having 1 bowl of each it's hard to say, but I like both, though I think I prefer the SB. This is also my 1st experience with the Lakeland essence and can see why you would want a dedicated pipe to these types of blends. I'm using a cob and don't know if I'm quite ready to dedicate a briar. Perhaps I shall follow suit and get an old meer a la Simon.

Eightywon when it comes to Condor or St Bruno people fall into different camps. There is the 'I love St Bruno but hate Condor brigade' and then there is the other lot who will smoke anything with the odd loon thrown in like myself who stick exclusively to one brand with the odd sub permutation of mixing in something else to elevate the nicotine content. I personally don't care for St Bruno as I have always thought it burnt a little too hot for my tastes but some people think is very smooth and a better smoke than Condor. You have to be very careful with Condor as it will 'ghost' any pipe it comes into contact with and it is very difficult to get the taste out far short of putting the pipe in the dish washer. About five months ago I got wrapped up with a tobacco tasting contest on this forum and for each mystery tobacco I used a new clay pipe and when I finished smoking the pipe I would toss it into my ash tray at work. I commented in a post at the time that if anyone wanted the spent clay pipes I would happily send them on. A couple of forum members said 'yes please' and then upon receipt of said clay pipe commented on the pungent smell of some lakeland tobacco. The reality was the spent clays had been sitting in an ash tray of Condor dottles and had sucked up the smell! In closing EightyWon I use older meerschaum pipes for several reasons and they are as follows and I have stated them on this forum numerous time. Firstly someone else has broken the pipe in for you over one hundred years ago, secondly most tobacco at that time would have either been dark 'twist' or something along the lines of War Horse so in my opinion the pipe has been pre-ghosted and anything I smoke in it will certainly not clash with whatever essence of tobacco the pipe has previously absorbed in its travels. Finally I just happen to like the 'cutty' clay pipe style which is why I own so many of them of that style in meerschaum. I hope you enjoy your tobacco and as you are aware I have moved to solve the Condor and to a lesser extent St Bruno supply problems by sourcing larger quantities so not only do I keep myself well stocked but I am in a position to meet the needs of anyone else on the forum.

Condorlover I just received a meer bowl for my Falcon. Does that sound like a good option for trying the half dozen pouches I've ordered from Mr. Snuff?

Perfect and since Falcon pipes are aluminum the dish washer option is readily available to you to deal with any ghosting issues! Have you tried Condor before or is this your first adventure with the Green Goddess?

Yup a Condor virgin. It will also be firsties for the Condor Longcut, Mick McQuaid Plug, St Bruno Flake, Murray's Warrior Plug, and Revor Plug I have on the way. A major scrum of pipe filler from Greatish Britain.

Sorted and on its way - my local Post Office has run out of my favorite $5.60 postal rate boxes. I think the lady hides when I come by!

Okay first bowl of Green in a fresh cob. Decided to use my new Falcon meer bowl as more of an all round utility infielder. This is fascinating stuff. I feel I somehow already know this aroma but the brain tickle hasn't made its way to the old prefrontal yet. My best horseback first impression is of standing equidistant between a barnyard and a parfumerie that are a mile apart. Evocative of both Milord's stables and Milady's formal garden. Smooth & cool smoke with a no bite low relight behavior and a very solid nic hit. Obviously early days yet but I think it likely I shall come to earth on the love side of the divide.

I am very pleased to hear that 'darwin' and I am sure in time you will become an addict. As I have commented elsewhere here and in other posts Condor is a love it or loath it kind of tobacco. It is the Marmite of pipe tobacco's!

I just read up thread about how one either likes St. Bruno or Condor, but rarely both. I had the opportunity to try some St. Bruno awhile back and was like meh. I am really enjoying the Condor green so I guess this proves true, at least in my case.

You and my friend Andre do the same thing. I don't inhale due to the high Tambo content but whatever floats your boat. I am glad you are all happy!

Condor.
OK you lot pay attention. Our firm has a 'fecking' useless client in the UK who tends to be late paying his bills. He has just paid me with a whole bunch of Condor so that I don't sue him and roll out on a case. Who wants to buy some Condor on the usual terms of $20 a pouch including postage or $18 a pouch for multiple orders. I suspect it is all Condor Green. Let me know either on the UE blotter or by PM as it was posted to NYC last Wednesday. In closing thank you everyone for your expressions of concern and good wishes regarding my thyroid situation. I am going to get another dose of Radio Active Iodine next week and hopefully they will get it right this time as a 15% failure rate first time around is quite common. Whats great is a can use my dick as a torch light to find my key hole to my apartment!

James I got you chum as you PM'd me earlier so I automatically put you on the new list. When it lands on Wednesday/Thursday I will get it all ready to go out to everyone. As my friend Seymour is staying with me for the three day quarantine at the apartment after the treatment I can send him off to the 85th Street Post Office with everyones orders.
