Wild video.

I recognize the woman making the video.

She's the Blonde that went looking for Jason with a flashlight, right? :D
I hope they are alright.

Amazing video, Venturer! And thank you for sharing it.
It was like watching a train wreck developing and knowing there wasn't a damned thing you could do to stop it.

Woah...I have never seen, nor heard of any such thing happening before. It's cool/scary all at the same time. :?
Nature, your scary! 8O
This does look like a great (or horrible, depending on how you look at it) plot for a Stephen King movie, though.

They are saying it sounds like a combination of a train and breaking glass as it moves up.

Some places it piled up 30 feet high, so far I don't think any injuries and not as much damage as I would have thought. The lake was completely iced over yesterday morning and then strong NW winds started pushing. Very Amazing

Growing up near lake Erie I do recall that sound every spring when the ice started melting. It sounds like someone breaking a thousand tractor trailer loads of glass continuously for a week. It's a cool sound actually to just zone out on at night while smoking.

Well, geologically speaking, we are in a fairly cold period for the average temperature of the Earth over its lifespan. That aside, the warmer average temp bring with it sea levels 30 to 60 ft. higher than they are currently!
30 more feet and bye-bye where I live or I will need to buy a house boat :D
