Nice find! Are you going to restore that wonder? Speaking of which, I wonder if white adhesive tape would work almost as well.

Perhaps white duct tape would work as well and you could it doubled up on the bit to mitigate the need for a rubber pipe bit. Not as elegant as Dave's pipe find but more versatile!

I think maybe some Krylon paint would give a better finish. 8O

I've just been wrapping mine with electrical tape because I like black stems.

The button on the stem looks a little hinky, like the whole stem is made of wood then painted white. Might be the perfect stem for a white briar Kaywoodie!
