As far as the supposed military coverups (Area 51, et al), my thinking is that they don’t mind the speculation of harboring “alien technology” as it keeps everyone’s eyes off of the research that’s really being done.

Not only do they not mind it, but they allegedly went as far as fabricating and promoting some of the UFO folklore in certain instances. There's an interesting documentary that deals with some of this called Mirage Men.

I suspect the most recent "hearings" that have taken place, and the change of tone by both the government and media, suddenly seeming to treat the subject seriously, is probably just psy-op stuff (they do a lot of that on a lot of subjects).

I bet you don't think humans can kill goats by staring at them, or walk though walls, either...

You're no fun

I know you won't believe me, but I have seen unidentified objects from time to time. What happens is that they go so fast, that I can't identify them. Once I saw a neighbor who came loaded with tobacco, very fast so that his wife could not see that it was her husband, she told me that she saw something that smelled like the cologne that her husband usually uses. My God, it was the neighbor loaded with tobacco. I have also seen three boys riding on a donkey, when they landed in a park.IMG_7866.jpg

Unidentified aerial phenomena certainly exist; I have seen stuff for which I can find no rational explanation. One little thing in particular was about three feet above my head as I passed beneath it; never read or heard of such an object ever being seen by anyone else, it probably just rocked up to screw with my head. I will reserve judgment.

What I think about most is back when they used the stealth bomber for the first time in Desert Storm. I was a senior in Highschool so this really stuck with me. The fact that the Stealth bomber had been an idea and had been in the works since the 50’s blew my mind. The realization that science is always decades ahead of current known technology has stuck with me ever since. More recently Advancements in technology happen even faster. Moore’s law showed us that ever 2 years our computing technology doubles. My belief is that with the recent advancements in AI we could actually be Hundreds and hundreds of years further down the road than we know. I remember reading an article about a few US military patents that look and sound exactly like what the Tic-Tac UAP’s would be. There was also pictures of another patent that had to do with the triangle aircraft everyone has been seeing. And it’s not your normal flying craft. Something about a double Hull that is filled with a type of material that can be charged so anything inside the craft wouldn’t feel inertia or g forces at all. The patents also talk about the ability to change the actual fabric of space around the craft so it can fly, instantly accelerate, and stop. No flight surfaces needed. These are real patents that actually exist and can be found. Or so the article says. Maybe one of you guys can find them.

People all freaking out over the hearing, because of the comments "cannot divulge", which morons all seemed to interpret as "aliens are real." But, one of his last questions was that if there were no evidence of any aliens, would you also say that you could not divulge, he agreed, which in everyone's mind should have just wiped the whole line of questions and responses out as just legal bullshit. But, yet we will have morons who will always use this hearing as "evidence" of a government cover up of aliens. Same morons that believe in bigfoot, Loch Ness Monsters and aliens having built the pyramids.

And even if aliens were real, and a threat to the world, I rest easy knowing there’s probably a washed up, alcoholic, fighter pilot living in a trailer somewhere in a desert willing to sacrifice his life to fly a jet up the tailpipe of an enemy spaceship to save us all.

We all know it was Elvis:
I actually spent a weekend with Mojo Nixon. I didn't even realize that he was famous at the time. He was best friends with my girlfriend's dad at the time and We were visiting her dad when we flew out to Portland to meet her dad. Her dad was a famous neon sculptor, so I was more interested in impressing him, ha ha. But, before we left Mojo gave us a bootleg tape of himself playing some live stuff. It wasn't till I was playing the tape for my friends that someone was like, "you spent a weekend with fuckin' Mojo Nixon?"

That's pretty impressive--I'll tell my son about that. He's the one who started playing "UFOs and Big Rigs" in the car, after hearing it in Redneck Rampage. I like "Elvis is Everywhere" and "Girlfriend in a Coma", and "You Can't Kill Me". I haven't heard more than 1 or 2 other of his songs.
