I recently ordered and received one of those stems that were linked. I was really excited. They look great, but I didn't realize how long they really are. I think the nose-warmer cob is the way to go with these if you do not like the length of the stem or a long pipe. Also I noticed that once you use one of these stems that it opens the mortise up a bit. Trying to reuse the stems that come with the cobs does not work. On the bright side it does make a cob look good!
