If you got some along these same lines, post it. These are to die for good. I have the dvd Battlefield Band is featured on (In Concert 2006), and the album Arcady is featured on (Many Happy Returns). This discussion is featuring Celtic reels only, so please don't post anything else here. Both these bands are Scottish, Arcady no longer makes music sadly, and Battlefield Band has a million albums and are making more. They are due to tour the USA again soon.

Okay, those are not reels, but we can relax this to traditional Celtic music in general and any original artists in the genre like Seven Nations and the such :) I prefer faster paced, more inventive music that features the fiddle as the main instrument.
Here's two by Seven Nations (quality isn't the best on the 2nd one):

I love Celtic music. Taking a trip to Ireland and Scotland is definitely on my bucket list.

I like Battlefield Band a lot - have a bunch of their cds. Am also fond of the Tannahill Weavers, and have all ( I think) of their CDs.) Have seen them both in concert.
The term "Celtic" is really meaningless when applied to anything except languages - otherwise it is just a marketing term. (Before you get upset about that, I heard Johnny Cunningham, the great Scottish fiddler, say the same thing.) The "Celtic" bands like Dropkick Murphys, etc., are really influenced by Irish or Scottish music.
BB is Scottish, playing modern traditional, as are the Tannies.

Celtic is just an easy to understand term, I never try to be correct all the time and I wouldn't know any other easy way to explain it :)
These are some of my artist seeds in Pandora for my celtic station (not all are celtic):

Capercaillie

Nuttin But Stringz (two guys with violins playing interesting music (they say it's classical, R&B, Hip Hop,& Rock all combined & amazing talent, amazing enough for 2 vids, they won America's got talent and then made it big)

Same as Tokerpipes, lol. Got some Chieftains too, Dubliners, and a group called Celtic Folk that used to perform at Ryan's Irish Pub in New Orleans during the 84 Worlds Fair.

If all goes according to plan, I'm going to the closing day of the Hunter Mountain Celtic festival which features a ton of pipers marching down Hunter Mountain and then playing in unison at the bottom. Should be awesome. Sadly, I missed Black 47 and Shillelagh Law tonight. On the plus side, Andy Cooney is playing on Sunday. He's my friend's uncle. This is at Hunter Mountain, NY to those who wish to know.

That's a cool song Dave. Shane MacGowan was one crazy dude(maybe still is) in his younger days.
