Twin Peaks Return

I watched the first episode last night, it's just under two hours! Great start to the Season! Its got everything you'd ever want out of David Lynch and more! Its weird, funny, trippy, suspenseful, confusing and down right scary at times!

I've been avoiding this thread lately for fear of spoilers, but I gave in and signed up for a hulu free trial. I've now watched parts 1 through 4, and I have to agree with the above.
I'm not in the least disappointed...in fact I'd have to say it's better than I expected so far. In part because it's forging new territory...not just rebooting and telling the same type of story again. But at the same time, you really need to have seen the original series first to understand, imo.
The humor element is a little less than the original so far, but when Cooper kept hitting jackpots it definitely had me laughing.
So far so good. We'll see where it goes from here.

Color me confused. Some of it appears to be just things that Lynch threw in because he could. Or are they all tied together and I just can't see it??
