If you get up north at all, Grant's Pipe Shop in the city isn't too bad. A few blocks away is The Humidor and they sometimes stock some decent tins. There is a cigar bar in the city, can't remember the name off the top of my head, but they allow smoking and are apparently cool with pipes and cigars. My favorite shop in the area is Telford's, but they're up in Mill Valley, north of the Golden Gate Bridge.

My bigger travel bag will hold 3 pipes and three tins (min.) it is a nylon travel bath bag. Works great! You can see the sunglass holders I keep my pipes in. For my freehands, I use the dollar store ipod holders.

Cupertino is a great town for Asian food! I drive out of my way to shop at the Asian markets there. If you are looking for a local burger joint for lunch one day check out Vivi's. It ain't fancy just where locals go for burgers and a basket of fries.

You will also be close to Edwards pipe shop. Might check it out also?

As some of you know I travel a bunch, usually about 25 days or more a month. I carry about 20 pipes with me, which is basically my collection. Some of them are kinda pricey(for me) like my Ashton and Ferndown, I currently use a messenger type bag to carry them. I put the pipes inside their pipe sock, then 3 to 4 in a Crown Royal bag, then into the messenger bag. Lately I have been checking in and out of my hotel about every day and I am starting to worry about moving them so much. Leaving them home is not something I want to do since I practically live on the road. So, I need something protective to carry them in. I don't want to go with a Pelican case because I want a combo lock on the case. I know that is not the safest, but if someone wants to get in they will regardless of any type lock. The combo lock would just keep the honest people honest  and a padlock on a Pelican type case would just be a pain to me.
I am looking at this:
T.Z. Case International Pro-Tech Duelly Pistol Case, Silver, 15-Inch
If anyone who owns or has used a T.Z brand case could chime in and give me opinions of their quality I would appreciate it. Or if there is anyone out there that travels with several pipes at a time, how do you carry/protect yours? Thanks!

I have a full sized briefcase that has slots for 7 pipes and would hold another 20 easily with socks around them. It also has slots for tampers, lighters, a removable tobacco pouch. I put my laptop in it, it holds a ton of stuff if packed properly. Here are a couple of pics. I bought this from smokingpipes years ago, it is a Sheffield case.

Impressive CigrMaster. I have a little castleford thing that looks like a man purse. I think I need to upgrade to a suitcase lol.
Prolly still looks like a man purse when you wear it though.
I like it.

This is a full size briefcase, no one can tell the difference when you are carrying it, definitely not a man purse. I have one of those which carries 4 pipes and have always felt awkward carrying it. lol

I took my 7-8 pipes with me to London england, and Ireland without a hitch!!
I bought a 4 pipe case thingy, one with a zipper. Got it from Smokingpipes i believer for $14. Put the other ones in a custom leather pipe pouch and rolled them up nice.
Took all the stems off, and put them in the middle of my suite case. One flight from Londoon to Ireland, I actually put them in my carry on, with out my pipe tools. No problems at all.
Just need to be careful and take caution. I'd rather be over protective thanhave something break.

cigrmaster, that is a nice case.
I have a Peterson 2 pipe/tobacco combo bag that I use for my day trips.
I recently went away for a week and i pretty much put a bunch of pipes (protected of course) in a shoebox, a few tins of baccy in a ziplock freezer bag and it worked out pretty well.
Now, does cigrmaster's bag go on a PAD or a TAD list???

That's really nice Harris. That looks really classy. I looked on Smoking Pipes and Pipes&Cigars. Neither place has them that big unfortunately. I will probably go with some sort of lockable hardshell case just for added piece of mind.
