wow that's a good place to start. The tobacco. Ireland seems nice too. Oh and we're such nerds here that we love any tobacco history stuff..... noticed suggestion to Introduce ones-self. An Irishman having lived without technology and with very limited Internet experience - however, trying all the same. While no one may be interested, (if I can manage to do so) photo of my first tin of commercial tobacco from 1985 ... Kind Regrads, PL View attachment 179676

@Livingstone @Chaukisch I've smoked a packet of Erinmore Mixture in my clay pipes; I found it burns hot in a clay..... noticed suggestion to Introduce ones-self. Many thanks indeed, for the kind welcome. I had a 'look around' the Internet this afternoon, and can see little point in my staying ... The looming threat that any utterance involving moral integrity or discernment may see one censored and removed ... not an environment for me. Your greeting today, however, is very much appreciated. Thank you once again. PLWelcome from an Irish diaspora of the American south.
Many thanks Bob, Waterstones on Princes Street was my place to get lost ... lived in Innerleithen 2000-2004 ... wife from Rosslyn. No, I was mentioning to another member who bid me welcome, that I probably will just leave the Internet again: not the place for me - the censoring threat everywhere is well beyond Orwellian. There are certainly 'uploads' on my Internet Site, if you fancy a look there ... but, honestly, cannot see any point in me remaining. Do have a look at the pipe portraits, if you are interested. I currently live in 10 acres of forest in British Columbia, along with a family of bears - and have been very contented with that: my life and interest stopped at about 1977, no interest at all in technology. And, the Internet shocked me today. Very nice to find a different feeling here. Lovely to hear from you, Bob. All the best for now, PLWelcome from Edinburgh Scotland. Pity they don’t make tins like that anymore, thanks for the pic upLoad. Please do upload more. I yearn for a time when I did not spend 70 percent of my life in a virtual world( it’s my work) so honestly you have not missed much with new technology.
People used to play computer games to escape reality….now people go to green fields and forests to escape the reality of internet, a beautiful irony in there .
Welcome to the forum, lovely folk here.
Hello Elric! Very grateful to hear from you. Thank You. PLWelcome aboard from Michigan, USA!
