Saw this in an antique shop today.
Do you smoke it with the bowl the right way round and the stem upside down.
Or with the stem the right way round and the bowl upside down?
The former I'm guessing. But you would look silly.

Oh, and I'm pretty sure there was a pipe smoker in the shop. An elderly gent, but I didn't get a chance to speak to him.

Bowl upside down. It's a solution that pops up every so often in the pipe world...a solution to what, I'm not too sure of. Never having tried it, I could only guess as to why it never catches on.
Last time I saw a marketing effort for this style was in the 90s; Barry Levin was selling upside down pipes made of maple.

There were two other "normal" straight briars there, but they weren't makes I'd heard of. I have forgotten the name. They were only £2 I think.
