What are your top two inexpensive (not Cheap) but great tasting tobaccos?

For me it would be H&H Louisiana Red followed by Luxury Bullseye flake.

Louisiana Red is really an excellent tobacco and with the December 20% discount it just cant be beat(IMO).

Given that I am in Canada, pretty much everything at smokingpipes or 4noggins looks pretty inexpensive to me, lol.
Seriously though, life is too short to be smoking cheap tobacco or drinking cheap wine.

I don't know that life is too short to do either of those things if that is what you can afford. My inexpensive is Old Joe Krantz, burley, per, va. I'm still looking for the other one. Oh and I don't really like wine so cheap is best for me.

I never knew folks like you existed. Damn, I wish I disliked wine, lol.
I like Old Joe Krantz - never really thought of it as a cheap blend though. OTC blends are what I normally think of as cheap, and I'm not a fan of those. I recently thought I would try the Edward G. Robinson blend - really disliked it though.

In the US, most 50g tins sell for around $12, or thereabouts. Most 8oz. tins are in the $35 range. And most one pound or 16oz. tins sell for $55 on up. I'm lucky. My favorite smoke of all time is C&D's Star of the East. It sells for around $35 a pound in bulk at smokingpipes or $146 for a five pound bag. Best kept secret in pipedom. Oops, cat's outta the bag now ... Course, you gotta like Latakia.

Gotta go with Peck on this one. When 1Q costs me $6 for 2oz out of the states and McClelland is under $10 a tin from 4noggins and to buy up here 1Q is $27 per 50g and McClelland is $34-45 a tin. My favorite "cheap" brand is 1Q but I plan on trying a few more such as Sugar Barrel and Carter Hall in the near future.

For the record I'm not a wine guy but like my port and my rum and I have $30 bottles of both in my cabinet as well as a $140 bottle of port and a $120 bottle of rum...... Some days I'm a hobo and others I'm a snob. lol

I like sugar barrel and CBW. I'm not much of a stickler and I enjoy most everything so it helps me stay in budget and save for a big TAD or PAD later. Not to mention I'm a firm believer in too much of a good thing is a bad thing. If you had steak everyday you'd never appreciate it as much as after a whole week of spaghetti.

No reason to go cheap when brands like Hearth and Home and Cornell & Diehl offer awesome blends at fair bulk prices.
I also love Louisiana Red... Russ O's Early morning pipe match blend is fantastic. I think ot smells better than the real thing and it's cheaper too!

Not sure of the definition of "cheap", but McClelland's 5100 Red Cake in bulk seems like a nice tobacco for the price.

You'll see me recommending H&H blends around here a lot.
Louisiana Red is a favorite, Classic Burley and Anniverary Cakes are great, Magnum Opus and Beverwyck are great.
I always have CH and PA around as well.

I like Lane's LL-7 and their Burley Without Bite, and Altadis Queen Anne's Revenge, and

for an OTC, Granger. I like upscale tobacco, but not exclusively.

Oh man, this is like the "One Pipe, One Tobacco, One Island And You" thread, there's no way I can pick just two!

So here's what I'm gonna say;
Aromatic; Lane 1Q

Codger; Sugar Barrel

English/Balkan; H&H Black House

Hybrid; H&H Mazatec

Burley; Scotty's Butternut Burley

Virginias; Mac Baren Roll Cake, and Mac Baren Navy Flake

Homemade Blend; Fat Albert (50/50 blend of Prince Albert and black cavendish such as Lane BCA or Smoker's Pride BC)

I prefer the term "inexpensive" otherwise, I just feel cheap . . .
Lane 1Q - if you go to Tinderbox and buy Wilshire, same thing not inexpensive.

Jamesons - not tobacco and not cheap but worth every penny.
