Occasionally I experiment. I have a bottle of dark rum that I have rarely drank. It’s not bad, gotta chocolate flavor to it.

Since the weather is nice (75F, low humidity, light breeze), I sprayed some Three Sails down and set it out to dry. I’ll see how the flavor comes through.

Maybe I can come up something similar to Solani 656… ?6C19E40F-1587-4CB2-B59E-AA664A52D79F.jpeg

Very interested in what you think of the final product.

Sometimes I'll pour the end (mere drops) of a drink on the top of the inner paper inside a tub of Carter Hall. I think it's worked great actually.

I made some liquor baths in the tobacco, before smoking it. But I made the mistake of spraying whiskey or rum in some tobacco jars and closing them. The fermentation inside the jar ruined the tobacco. Even though it dried months later. I only dampen the tobacco that I am going to smoke the same day or the next day, in an open air dish. If you over-moisten the tobacco and keep it for months, if you overdo it with the liquor, it ends up fermenting and giving the tobacco a horrible aroma. When you smoke it, you don't want to smoke for the whole week.

There is a definite dark rum/chocolate note. A little more than what I expected.

The pleasant weather will be short lived I suspect. A front passed through this weekend, and I'm enjoying cool Canada air at the moment.

I've read numerous peoples opinions on casing/topping. While its not something I do often, its fun to experiment now and again.

In this case it worked well. I may mix this with a few Burleys - poor man's Solani 656.
