Positively amazing find. I look at my Dunhill collection and wish I could have dropped $40 on just one of them.
Smoke that puppy! It just keeps on gettin' better.

I bought a 1961 stanwell freehand (unsmoked) the gentleman that owned it passed away and my local B&M picked up his stock. He had 12 of these (all different styles, but freehands) all unsmoked because the guy was just a collector, not a smoker. I got it for a steal because im a good friend of the guy that works at my B&M. I stared at it for about a year until I finally smoked it haha! It is beautiful and older than me so it took me a while to get the courage to just do it. Pipes are meant to be smoked, and life is short... Enjoy the fine things you have... Now I smoke it multiple times a week. Good luck and smoke that thing!

While I too understand not smoking a collectable I don't agree with it. Kinda like bringing Ava Gardner home with you and making her sleep on the sofa!!!
Smoke it and learn to care for it and it will give you a lifetime of pleasure and you can pass it on to the next generation of pipe smokers!

Welcome to the forum snuff. That is a great deal and as said above by many, fire that puppy up and enjoy it. As long as you smoke it slowly, you will have no problems. If you feel it getting hot in your hand, put it down, let it cool and then smoke it some more. Make sure you read up on how to clean your pipe, this will guarantee a lifetime's worth of great smokes.
