Another peeve of mine are people turning left on a very busy two lane road. I have to drive this road every day that is bumper to bumper traffic from 3PM till 7PM, and it never fails that someone turns left, bringing the whole lane to a dead stop for up to 10 minutes sometimes. All they have to do is drive two more blocks and turn around at the light and then drive back making it a right turn without disrupting the flow of traffic.
Are saying that they should go the extra block or two, so they don't hold up traffic? Isn't that asking a little too much? I mean that would mean that they would be actually thinking of others, and at the same time actually saving themselves some time. I think your expectations are way too high. A similar situation is when coming out of a parking lot the guy in front of you needs to turn left on to a busy main road. Instead of turning right, go one block or less and turn around there they wait FOREVER for the traffic to clear so they can turn left.

I am constantly explaining to my wife about this left turn biz, and she is always making quippy remarks about me going the extra block. We timed it, and I am consistently shaving minutes off the drive. Yet, she still quips. So as wives are known to do. puffy

Is she in the back seat?? :)

Just have her drive... read the paper, watch the news, pick your teeth, whatever....

Last driving beef. It drives me crazy the ones who wait behind the line at a green traffic light to turn left instead of pulling up so as soon as there's an opportunity they can turn. I've seen some who sit through two lights before turning. Drives me nuts. I guess I'm just too impatient but dang. Maybe there's some places it's the law that you can't pull out, but I can't think of any. And yes, I am talking about at a traffic light.

Spain - Europe
The new generations know how to drive to perfection in video games. I remember when I was 16 years old, driving on the highways of Europe, while my father slept for a few hours. While I was driving a heavy truck, up to 25 tons. In the early morning, in fog, snow, or rain. When I think about it, I get goose bumps. But that taught me to know how hard life is, and what it takes to bring a hot meal home. Then at the age of 17, I joined the army, another lesson to learn and be aware of how dangerous life is under our feet.
