Anybody have any experience with pipes by Tony Fillenwarth?
I just ordered two on a whim but don't have any experience with this carver.
His site shows some pretty impressive pipes, but it looks like he doesn't produce that many.
Any feed back would be appreciated!

Thanks! Yea they're a little more "stand outish" than my typical pipes.
The pot was $165 and the other little blowfish type was $150.
I was watching an Ardor the guy had listed on ebay and took a look at his other items he had for sale and found these. He was listing a few other Fillenwarth's for $150. They all looked really well done.
It looks like they were all carved in 2012 from the gallery I saw on Fillenwarth's website. I jumped on these cuz I like that blowfish style pipe and the rustication on the other caught my eye, plus it got that x-mas feel to it.
The few pipes that were priced on the his website were in the mid $200's so I felt like I was getting a deal.

Hopefully they'll be good smokers or the might just end up back on ebay!
Enjoy your night!

Yea I agree. I was in need of a christmas pipe. I have a peterson's christmas pipe, but it doesn't channel much holiday spiit- Hopefully this one is devoid of any pipe pubes. Those pesky bastards.

I love Tony's pipes! Besides the ones that I have purchased from him, I've commissioned two others. On his site he has a thread about making a wax drip pipe. That pipe is the first one that I commissioned from him. His pipes feature an effortlessly open draw and mine smoked sweet from the first bowl.

Tony is one of the nicest people with whom I've had the pleasure to collaborate. I highly recommend his pipes. They're quite a bargain.

Tony is a prison guard by profession and pipemaking is his passion.

That's good to hear sablebrush. He is a very talented dude for sure. Now I'm really looking forward to getting these bad boys.
That's interesting to know that he's a prison guard by profession. Who would have thought. Very cool.
