Now that it's legal just sip a little Tennessee White Whiskey. Guaranteed to cure all ills!
Phil67-- I never thought about the Play-Doh analogy before, but I would say that sums up my experience with Molto Dolce also.

I think I just realized what happened. Too bad I wasn't smart enough to have avoided it, but it's likely that I got some nasty backwash from a recently acquired estate pipe (or two) that I might not have cleaned out enough/properly.

This seems the likely cause of a case of tongue kill that I wouldn't wish on anyone.

I guess I'll call this new to me malady, and fergawdsakes never to be repeated please affliction, EPT.

as in in ept...Estate Pipe Tongue.

Today I'm cautiously enjoying far less tobacco than I would normally, and I'm only using my own cobs.

Things are a lot better, but still returning to normal. Lesson learned.

Newbroom, you really need some Tennessee White Whiskey now! Don't take chances thinking you've killed off all those germs...peace of mind in knowing for sure is just a few sips away!

newbroom, I am truly sorry if my attempt at humor was over the top for you. Biotene is a great product that I believe will help any pipe smoker who has issues with dry mouth. I have been using it for years and it really works for me.

I learned about Biotene from this site. I plan to get more when I run out. For tongue-bite, drinking 100% apple juice helps, too.

The Molto Dolce tongue stain is quite black. Not at all sexy as the picture in the ad! I've gone through a couple of tins of it mostly for the room note when company are here. People seem to like it. It does pop and sizzle when lit. Not my favorite aro at all.

Tongue scraper, available from your dentist, with some non-flavored mouthwash so that you're ready to smoke again soon.
