Just finished a first bowl of Tom Eltang English by C&D.

This one just did not have enough Latakia for me. My sample had barely any.

The Virginias also seemed a little green as some C&D blends tend to be.

The smoke was not terrible just not what I am looking for in an English.

I have a sample of Tom Eltang Engllish on the way. I don't mind the Lat in a supporting role, for

example in Nat Sherman 536. I do look for definitive taste so the blend doesn't just wander and

fade. With 536, it's a sort of string quartet of flavor, not a rock band, but fully centered and purposeful.

I was not particularly impressed by the English. The Mixture, however, is a good Va/Per, worth giving a try.

Of what little smoking I have done in the last few months, most of it was this and Dunhill EMP.

The two seemed very similar (keeping in mind that I am still very new to the English blend in general though).

Funny. I bought the virginia, mixture, and english. I thought English was the best of the 3.
