Although I think the guys in aviation may have had some jackets like that, I'm not sure. I got my chosen ship assignment avoiding aircraft carriers and choosing a minesweeper.

I notice that fatigues have been approved for street wear in recent times. It used to be dress uniforms only when off base. I think this applies to all services. You see recruiters in cammo for example.

It's a Navy N-1 deck jacket reproduction. Used on aircraft carrier deck during WWII through Korean War. Very warm. Was never in service, but love surplus and repro clothing. Very practical.

I come from a Naval family. It’s a regular fashion show, the Navy.

The Army has only two uniforms: Combat & Dress

Love that N-1 jacket! You rarely see those and they seem to be a great piece of gear. There’s not many more cold and windy and wet places than a carrier deck underway.
