It might be nice to post pictures of interesting or pretty places where we have hiked.
This is my effort from today.
We walked from Porthgain to Abereiddi (Wales). Then visited the UK's smallest city, St David's and went to see the cathedral and then went for Fish and Chips.

Porthgain used to produce slate and later bricks.
Not sure about Abereiddi, but there is a quarry there, and it has been used for Red Bull cliff diving. The water in that pool is really cold.

A real pleasure and a luxury, to be able to make your walks, in such beautiful places. I am in love with these coasts of the islands in general. Is there a trail that takes you to a distillery?

I am also a little jealous of the walking and right-of-way infrastructure of the UK. I am very jealous of highland bothies, after having found shelter in a few of them.

I hope to be spending a lot more time on trail next year after we move from an urban environment to a rural one. Hopefully this thread is still active then.

One of my local beaches. Only about 20 mins away.
Llangrannog.
Fantastic pizza.
I even saw a pipe smoker and said hello.

Sadly full of holiday homes. The locals cannot afford to buy them these days. Only one Welsh speaking family left there.

If there is sufficient wind tomorrow, I hope to sail to this beach.

This walk is a favourite of mine, I frequently travel West to St David's. Whitesands is an incredible beach to spend an evening and catch sundown, especially with a fire and if the surf's up!

Did yo stand in the Devil's foot-prints at St. David's cathedral?
just to explain the comment I made.
In the grounds of the cathedral, there are two foot-prints, near the entrance to the cathedral. The foot-prints are half in the grassy area and half embedded in a stone, I'm guessing it is a tomb stone.
Anyway, the story goes that during construction of the cathedral, the devil rocks up and starts mocking St. David, whilst he's surveying the work. With that St. David throws the devil off the roof of the cathedral, hence the foot-prints in the earth below. At least that's the story I was told, many years ago.

And St. David was in fact Irish.

Today's entertainment.
This elderly gentleman waiting to catch a boat fell off the wall into the water. Fortunately he was ok.
