I'm lucky to have both the chain, Tinder Box, and a great local independent pipe seller and tobacconist
in town. I try to support the independent first for pipes and tobacco both, but the franchisee at the Tinder
Box is helpful too, and is moving to bigger quarters at the mall. Chartwell is a good blend. I found it best
when fresh. That's a great photo of the array of goodies, zonomo. Your Missouri Meerschaums look
ready to light. TBox aros Wilshire and North Star hold up well. Lately, I bought some Balkan there that
is an interesting smoke, lots of complexity but low key. One of my oldest, maybe the oldest pipe, is
a Tinder Box St. Ives, a bent sitter with a unique saddle stem that starts out vertical and ends horizontal.
It's as good a smoke today as it was thirty some years ago, and is still eye catching. Happy smoking,
zonomo; you are taking this in the proper adventurous spirit, for sure. Incidentally, I don't know who
made the St. Ives for Tinder Box.
