A friend of mine is on his way to London and agreed to bring me back some tobacco. I asked him to get me some Condor, and if he comes across it some Revor plug and some Germain’s Brown flake (or pretty much anything else with their name on it). I told him James J Fox was the best place I could think of to look.

Does anybody have suggestions for some other tobaccos that are available in U.K. but hard to get here in the US? Is James J Fox the best place to send him?

No blend type is off limits.

Thanks I appreciate any feedback.

He'd have to be super lucky to stumble on any Germains, it's pretty much as unavailable here as anywhere else.

I tend to buy cigars in the west end tobacconists, but looking at their prices & selection for pipes (Premium Pipes and Pipe Tobacco | James J. Fox - https://www.jjfox.co.uk/pipes-and-tobacco.html?product_list_limit=all&product_list_order=price), I'd definitely second buying online if possible - much better selection & price. I tend to use GQ - & by & large thier standard delivery takes two days.

Though, they're wonderful shops to visit - my favourite is the Davidoff shop just down the road - if he likes pipes or cigars he'll have a great experience.

One doesn't have to go to J Fox to find the following fine British OTC Blends,The Original Flake* By Ogdens which today is produced by Barens(formerly known as Walnut Flake ) and then we have this Special Virginia by Benson&Hedges ,I assume Japan Tobacco is producing it nowdays
Thanks, those both sound like blends I would enjoy. I will add them to the list :)

Does the Davidoff shop have a wide selection of pipe tobaccos or is it just the blends they produce themselves?

I initially read the thread title as "Tacos Only Available in the UK" and was sad for a moment.

Like, why are there certain tacos only available in the UK and why can't they be recreated in North America. What are they hiding and what is their secret?

Thank goodness, I misread the title.
Certainly no taco shortage here where I’m at (California) :)

If you REALLY enjoy rope tobacco, have a look at the pigtails, the aromatic (Turkish delight) and aniseed ones. I forget the name but their is also an apple chewing rope (not GH, or at least not sold under their brand).

it will save you a lot,as on line prices are a lot cheaper then the up market shops like JJ Fox and Davidoff etc.
even Cgars who operate on line as well as having several shops have a substacial difference in prices between online and shop

I agree QG is another good online to try

Gawith - Mahogany
Gawith - Jubilee Blend
Gawith - Seasonal Reserve
Gawith - Summer Reserve
Gawith - Four Squires Flake
Gawith - Westmorland Slices
Gawith - Reunion Series: Brown House Roll Cut
Gawith - Reunion Series: No.27 Perique Flake
Gawith - Reunion Series: Bourbon Flake
Sam Gawith - RB Plug
Peterson - Dark Flake

Is Gawith - Rich Dark Springdew available in the US? I thought it was but i'm not sure.

I've tried all of these (except for the Brown House Roll Cut) and i've really enjoyed every last one of them.

It's good for a physical location, as I remember- a lot of it, like the Peterson, is stuff that's readily available in the US though. The online places have much much better selections than any shop I've yet been to in person.
