I concur: pitch that pouch. Like post #3, I suspect allergy or chemical sensitivity. It could be unrelated to the tobacco, but it's not worth trying it again. I wouldn't give it away either, since it may be a problem pouch. I'd never be afraid to trash something that affects my health.

Magnifying the picture, I do see some fuzzy stuff, but can't really say if it's mold or not. Trying to identify mold with a picture isn't really helpful. If you think it's mold, dump it.

I am officially announcing that the glitter taken over the thread :)
Thanks guys, I think i'll have a friend smoke some of it and see if he goes through hell too. i'll warn him of course tho, his decision to try or not.
Like @sjmiller said I think its allergic reaction and thats not cool because i could just toss a pouch, its not the end of the world but now i will be reluctant to buy another one, just to toss it too. So there goes one brand of tobacco

I like Amphora full and smoke it occasionally (as well as Amphora virginia), but just as there are many fish in the sea there are many blends out there to try. Just toss it and move to something else which might better suit you.

Let me get this straight:
  1. You smoked a pouch of tobacco that you were a bit suspicious about, that you got from an iffy source.
  2. It caused you bodily harm.
  3. You recovered,
  4. You smoked it again.
  5. It hurt.
  6. You asked total strangers on the internet for their opinion about it.
  7. You passed the killer tobacco on to a friend.
Is that correct?

Story checks out, but don’t forget the glitter.

That mentality would rule out Mama’s chili. I applaud your dedication but reject your position.
Mama needs to learn how to make chili before she kills off her family. I've eaten chili that would dissolve the hull of an aircraft carrier and never suffered anything worse than dragon breath. But I prefer my chilis hot but not so hot that my nervous system goes into shock. What's the point if you can't taste anything because your taster up and died?
Toss that crappy tobacco. Its best and truest calling awaits!

I’m not using pain killers for my taster.

Then you'll need to up your game. You've hit hot when your system goes into shock.

Many years ago I was in Dallas shooting a commercial and while there decided to try the chili at Tolbert's chili parlor. The chili itself was a pretty decent version of Texas style chili as one would expect it to be and the top of that bowl of red was decorated with a little Serrano chili, a little green narrow shouldered little bastard that called out to me to gobble it up. So I did. There was a wondrous explosion of heat and flavor before my mouth went completely numb. Better than Novocaine. All sensation had gone bye bye and stay gone for about an hour. Totally worth it.

Choose your lane!

I’ve given zero details of the chili and you’ve gone from it must be too hot because it’s wrecking my taste buds to it’s not hot enough because I don’t have to take pain killers for my mouth. The first post was admonishing pain killers for my mouth and the second was encouraging them. I’m a bit lost, unless you just wanted to pontificate on chili.

Pontificating about chili is a time honored tradition, especially amongst chili heads.

However, there is a common point to this. If something isn't enjoyable, stop doing it.

Unless one is into masochism.
