Tobacco Suggestions for a New Hackert Billiard

Just received my new billiard from Jake Hackert and I can't wait to fire it up! I am waiting for the right time to be able to appreciate the experience so until then I wanted to reach out to others that smoke or have smoked his pipes. I am trying to decide what blend to go with when that time comes and was curious as to what blends you enjoy in your Hackerts?

They always look to me like latakia pipes. So, that's what I smoke in both of mine.

Don't have a Hackert but billiards always say English blend to me, MM965 or Nightcap, or Nat Sherman 536.

Thanks for the suggestions! I finally got to fire it up on a long trip yesterday. I went with a bowl of EMP and it smoked great. I think I will stick with some lighter english blends till I get a feel for what it's gonna like. Any thoughts on putting Mississippi River through it?

I would recommend trying some Gaslight also

Whatever pipe tobacco you prefer to break it's cherry sounds good to me.

Haha you have twisted my arm ; ). I have a small sample of gaslight that smells delicious and will probably grace my Hackert in the very near future.
