Tobacco storage

Hello smokey friends!
I have stored my tobacco in clean glass jars with air-tight rubber seals. However, after a month is the celler, I notice that the inside of the glass is now coated with a slight hazy film layer...
It does not appear to be mold and the tobacco tastes great.
What is this and is it normal?

Oils from the tobacco. Perfectly normal.

Should be fine like CE said. I think like storing other perishables it’s best to keep them away from heat and sunlight.

I’ve experienced the same and all is well, however I do wonder what causes this… my guess is off gassing oils. Keeping the jar seals clean and replacing them with each new use is definitely recommended.

if it's warm it could just be condensation building up. I've had my jars mist up if i've left them in the sun with the lid sealed tight.

I live in a very dry area and my tobacco is kept in the dark and it can fluctuate from 68 to 86 degrees in the house over the seasons and I don’t think I’ve seen this haze. I’ll have to watch closer in the summer.

You have no problem with this, but keeping an eye out during the summer months is good thing.
