Tobacco Pouches

I save empty tins. I just stuff one with whatever tobacco I want to take along. I favor the rectangle Dunhill Flake tins for this. If I'm just going for a walk or something, I'll load a pipe or two ahead of time and forego the tobacco container entirely.
I've made so many crappy choices with faux leather, latex and plastic tobacco pouches over the years that ended in cracks, flakes, and mummy dust that I won't subject you to a recommendation. :lol:

My "tobacco pouch" is a zip lock bag in an old Kodak Instamatic camera case There's also room for a pipe or two an the required accouterments. Seems to work fine for me. I bet you can find one at Goodwill for a couple bucks.

It sounds like you need to keep Kate out of your pouch, that may be why you have to fill it twice a day. Seriously, sounds like you can go without a liner, though.

The reason I carry a pouch occasionally is my family loves that I smoke a pipe now, especially at Christmas time. They were burned out on buying me golf related gifts, like cleat cleaners and gold plated ball markers, so now I get tobacco pouches and I even have an all leather pipecleaner carrier that only holds about five pipecleaners, ha ha. They have no concept of what is practical to a pipe smoker. I keep telling them, "TAPERED PIPE CLEANERS!!!"

I had the liner go on my Dunhill box pouch. I am still using the pouch.

I have a couple of lined zippered tobacco pouches that I use occasionally. I don't worry about the tobacco drying out because I only carry enough for a bowl or two at a time. if there is anything left in the pouch at the end of the day I return it to the jar from whence it came. When I'm away from the house for more than a day, I just carry a tin or jar with me. Usually three or four so I have a choice.
