Not tobacco related, but I encountered a similar type of honesty system here in Scotland about 2 years ago. Up north in the Highlands, just beyond Aviemore in the Cairgorms. At Boat of Garten golf club, it was late November and out of season. But plenty of sunshine, along the River Spey. The course was still open on the day we played, but the office/clubhouse was not. A notice on a wee table invited players to write their name on an envelope and include their green fees inside, then drop into their mail slot. The honor system. For what it’s worth. Thank you for letting me intrude on your thread.
