Tobac-cologne

My buddy's lady friend believes that I should start wearing cologne.

Now, I am a cheapskate, and am already buying pipe tobacco. Which smells good.
So I mean to try my hand at making manly fragrance, by infusing tobacco into oils.

Any reccs for a fine, manly tobacco aroma to woo the ladies?
I'm currently thinking of a certain infamous, oft-memed battle equine, personally.

I'm pretty heavy into colognes, ouds, attars, etc.. I've tried many "tobacco" inspired colognes and Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille is my favorite. My wife loves it too.

That being said, I love wearing fragrances, it uplifts me, puts a pep in my step. Good fragrances can get really, really expensive but my suggestion would be Kiehl’s Original Musk. This smells like a high quality cologne, like the old codger colognes before they all got reformulated (they’ve been reformulated many many times over the years).

I like pairing my fragrances with the tobacco smoke. My personal favorite is a Creed Silver Mountain Water. Amazing stuff!

I have a few "tobacco" scented candles and a dry cologne due to curiosity. I believe they commonly revolve around leather/sandalwood/vanilla/honey mix of aromas.

Yes. I have and like this but it is an acquired taste (scent) as it smells strongly of rose and flowers. It dries down pretty nice and I enjoy having a cologne and aftershave that doesn’t smell like everyone else’s but Tobac has always been a “love it or hate it”, polarizing scent.

PS They also make a very good shave soap.

I think that may be just a tad out of his price range. I do like some TF, like his Tobacco Oud.

Speaking of Tom Ford. He copied this stuff (Neroli Portofino) and charged about 100 times what this goes for. But this a classic right here. Of course, TF has higher quality ingredients but a passerby will never know the difference.

That said, I do have a ~30 year old bottle of Old Spice mouldering away in my bathroom cabinet....a gift from some female in my past. Maybe she was trying to tell me something?

I’ve never had a drop of artificial scent on my face, lol, but I’m getting a lot of puppy licking lately - don’t think it results in any “enhancement”. Just one of those things I’ve never understood. The ladies can leave the perfume at the department store as far as I care, haha, and most makeup as well.

Love their sets, i have the soap somewhere as well, can’t say i use this one much but it was a present so i keep it around. More of an aftershave than just a cologne.
