So…first time seeing this. It was gifted to me. Just jarred it and saw this. Is this okay? Smoked it once. It was good with good moisture.

Which blend, and do you know how old it is? I'm wondering if it's just an age thing together with heavy topping like bullet08 mentioned?

Pull the paper and look at the metal beneath. Any rust or color change to the tin itself bleeding to the paper?

I would go ahead. A paper that colored is just evidence of the tobacco being juicy and aged. That, to me looks fantastic.

Nat Sherman? Good for you. I opened a tin of 307 earlier this year from 2015 and the paper was completely soaked in whatever dressing they put on the tobacco. Lucky for me the paper was completely dried by the time I opened it and the baccy was the perfect moisture content. Great smoke.
