Virginias are more nuanced than the orientals or latakia in my opinion, but very tasty and a sure go to. Been working my way through some aged Luxury Bullseye (yes, it has some unflavored Cavendish in it) recently and enjoying it. Lot of good straight Virginas that are good go all day smokes.

I just opened my 'prize' tin of Marlin Flake. I think the best part about it is the tin note. Appearance ain't too shabby either.

It is a real treat, for sure, and one I would love to share with y'all.
Straight VA tobaccos by D&R like 3 Sails, Windsail, and PennHooker are always nice to have around. You don't have to pay a lot for excellent quality leaf. You might find the lack of moisture or some of the finer cut to be offputting, but, I have learned to manage these characteristics and these (D&R Blends) tobaccos satisfy me.

McClellands was a dependable blender of excellent Virginia blends for decades, both for retail and for other blenders. There are plenty of good Virginia blends around, but it's unlikely we'll see another McClellands.
