You know its funny you happen to mention that fact. When ever I have chewed the stuff I have noticed a very fine grit in the tobacco and for the life of me I cannot work out what purpose it serves.

Blends need to be rated on manliness. Strength, Room Note, Taste, and Manliness. Wow, that would be a food fight down at the old blending shed, or maybe the blending workshop cafe. Latakia, burley, Perique, Cavendish, Turkish, Orientals, and all the proportions thereof.

I don't drive. Instead I ride a bear. It's not a tame bear, it just knows to obey. It attacked me one day... wanted my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I said, "Hell no, big bear. You ain't gettin my peanut butter and jelly sandwich. It stood up and roared that bear like snarly bear growly roar thing that bears do right in my face. I calmly wiped the bear spit from my face, and said, "Why did you do that you big mean bear?" So it looked at my sandwich again, and I said, "Bear. I already told you, I ain't givin up my super yummy extra creamy peanut butter and super sweet and tasty strawberry jelly (I wanted him to know it was super special) sandwich! So he came at me like a big bad bully bear! He was thinking he was going maul me, and maybe even eat me, and then take my sandwich for desert! So I channeled my inner Chuck Norris, because Chuck Norris is unbeatable and eats bullets and farts the mother of all bombs, and I roundhouse kicked that big bad bully peanut butter and jelly sandwich stealing bear right in the noggin! And now that bear knows! He knows I'm boss man Chuck Norris kick Anthony, and he better do as I say... and leave my sandwich alone! Because I am a manly man!

I married a 100% Italian 19 years my junior. I can say without a doubt that it has been the ultimate test of manliness.
And I agree with MSO, we need a tobacco manliness rating. I suggest 1Q to be the bottom of rating scale, with strength and taste as the primary qualifiers and room note as either yes or no. So 1Q is a 0,0.
