I forgot which annual this would be so I'm just going with the year.

Tonight I've got Marlin Flake in a jack-o-lantern meer by Kenan and I'm polishing off a bottle of Hennessy XO:

Tradition dictates we start with The Raven by Edgar Allan Poe.

Here are my three favorite versions.

Christopher Lee:

James Earl Jones:

And finally, "Eat My Shorts" quoth the Raven (Simpsons):

Been waiting for you to start this thread, just now found it. I look forward to listening to most of them.
Thanks again for the annual share. I always enjoy.
Cheers.

The other day it was actually rainy here in Vegas and I had some time to kill at home by myself. I re-listened to The Dogman of Fangdale Beck. It really put me in the holiday mood. Dead silence in the house and the story sounding the only way you can get from just a phone playing it.

Anyway, my 6 year old daughter and my wife (from Mexico) carved their first ever pumpkins today which added to the mood.

Tonight I'm indulging in some Martell XO with some Dark Star in a scarecrow by Yanik and a skull tamper from him as well:

Starting things tonight with one of my most favorite stories:

This one is unsettling.

The narrator discusses the stories afterwards which is something I quite enjoy. He gives a bit of biography about the author as well. I'd like to post a couple of my favorites from him (one of which he wrote) but I can't since they're members only stories.

Tonight I'm having some Rattray's Exotic Passion in "Satan" by Yanik with a glass of Jean Fillioux Cep d'Or XO Grande Champagne Cognac:

I'm so excited for the first story tonight! I can still remember reading this one for the first time and I'd been wanting to suggest it to Mr. Gordon @ Horrorbabble for narration as I think his voice is perfect for it.

It's a bit Lovecraftian only in the weird names but a great tale of revenge and spite. I'd say more but I want to save as much for everyone here as possible. There's a particular "scene" with ghouls that I love the way it's written.
