The question is whether the tight airway is a manufacturing defect or a difference in preference. If the latter, send it to a pipe repairman. If the former, contact the carver. My guess, however, is that there’s no “defect”.

Defect is not a word I used, you are right there. I just don’t like the way it draws. Moretti’s are not slip shod work and I hope I didn’t imply that at all. It’s just not my preferred open draw.
