But then again , it seems some posters would rather rag on each other or an industry insider than open a PO Box and take advantage of some cross state savings. Ah - I hope they are satisfied getting an important thread locked so the rest of can now only get information from the ignorantly ill informed on speculative threads. That is what shocks me.
You'd have to do some calculations in the rental, time and fuel to have the PO Box and drive to it when you place orders. What's the minimum spend to break even, then what's the minimum spend to actually make it worth the while. If the box is $200 per year with a 2 hour round trip there's a bit there to work out what makes it worth it for the individual vs. just paying the 95% tax in state.

I mean, if I lived in Olympia I'd probably find a bulk or three that I like and make the occasional trip up to Cargo Hold in Poulsbo to make occasional bulk purchases and be done with it. Less overhead, no rentals, shorter drive, less personally wasted time.

I got approximately 2000 burley seeds for $14. I tried to plant as few as I could (they are unreasonably tiny) and now I have 22 seedlings.

I have 10 or so pounds of D&R stashed away. I smoked a lot of it in the beginning, and then fell out of love for it. But still ended up buying more at that price, just incase for the future.
I have a lifetime cellar. I don't see a good ending for pipe smoking. It's already a niche within a niche. I don't know any other pipe smokers. Cigars will always be there, but pipe tobacco as a hobby has been dying a slow death since the 80's. K
I have more than enough to last me a few lifetimes. I'll miss the thrill of the hunt tracking down the latest and greatest 'magic bullet' !
I was done along time ago, then there were some crazy deals in the buy and sell section within Canada. The prices were actually cheaper in Canadian dollars then they were selling in the US, so of course i had to buy them. So I ended up with a good 10 pounds more. Which is a long time for me on top of what I already had. Custom Cuban rolls are my latest thing but then that's getting pretty silly already and I have to stop
I had five Samsun in the first year - fifteen or so plants, culled down to the best/biggest ones, then stuck in buckets in the corner of the garden.

Having been smoking a pipe for a little over two years now, I must say it's hard to fathom having enough pipe tobacco cellared for a lifetime! Kudos to you gents who have achieved that!
