When we were first married, we moved a lot. Once we found another college couple and sold all our furniture to them for $100. Then when we got to our location, we bought all our funiture for $100. Without thrift stores, garage sales etc, this would not have been possible.

Thanks for all the responses everyone!

Seems as if the general consensus about thrift stores is that they are good.

Figure ill be swinging back into my local store to pick up some shelves that would be perfect for my empty tin collection!

I have to say that I like thrift stores. I dont shop at them very often but I try to make it in to a couple of them every month or so. I recently have been going to them in search of stuff for my pipes. My father actually found 2 pipe racks at one of our local thrift shops. He spen 1.50$ for the both of them! They were actually in pretty good shape and after he cleaned them up they looked awesome! So, needless to say after he told me this, I have been going a lot more haha. I also found a nice cabinet for my pipes and tobacco for 5 bucks.
