Wow. escioe makes a good point though; I've paid $20 for a cigar more than once, so at $17 a bowl it makes a lot more sense than $836 for 100gs. Some of the $20 cigars I've had were definitely worth the money.
First, not a single one of those other Three Nuns tins is an original, 1970's or 1980's Scotland made version. They are all the later Danish production tins. That makes a HUGE difference in the collectability. Second; Peck is right, the buyer has paid (he's in the USA, by the way) and is happy as a clam... and so am I, to say the least.Guys a visit to that auction site shows a couple more tins for sale of Three Bums with the bidding way under $100. Makes me wonder if the $836 tin is going to get paid for come settlement time! - condorlover1
:Damn you cigrmaster! You are holding out on your fellow brothers of the leaf.PS... The winning bidder is a member of this forum and says he is enjoying this thread.
Kinda makes me want to break bread with them on a Saturday nightKinda makes you wonder what the buyer's cellar is like, doesn't it?
This. All I can say is very happy puffing to the happy owner of that legendary tobacco!
