All three pipes are pretty unique. The Ropp Vintage is a horn stem that is a pleasure to clench. I couldn’t find anywhere else that sells it in the Author shape.

second pipe is a Ropp Cherry wood that is literally a branch from a cherry tree and is a 1 piece. Even the stem is made of wood and is fixed.

Third pipe is a cutty or belge shape ? Im not sure. Seller says it’s dated to be made during WWII, is french briar, with English Sterling Silver.

Hope these new additions have caught your eye. It definitely caught mine! Thanks for viewing them.

Really like that author, bet it feels nice in the hand, and great birdseye that first photo. Hope you got some churchwarden cleaners for those other two! Let us/me know how the horn stem performs. I've heard they can get soft after awhile, but horn was the plastic of its day so I've always been curious.

Great looking pipes.

I particularly like to silver-banded belge and the Ropp cherry wood horn, which is a Ropp I have not seen before.

I loved smoking aromatics in a Ropp Cherry wood I had. I gifted it because it was too small.

I love the look of horn stems. The thickness of the bit doesn't bother me as I use rubber/silicon bits with all my pipes (I don't like teeth marks on my stems)

I can definitely see the horn stem getting soft or wearing down quicker over time. That softness, the way it “grabs” onto your teeth, is kinda why I like horn material in the first place! Meet me in a year, and I’ll let you know how much damage i’ve done to my poor Ropps haha
