Three English Estates Restored: Before and After

A while back I sent these three pieces out for restoration to Shae at VintagePipes in East Hampton CT. He has a store on Etsy. He took these photos and I am only now getting around to posting them. I'm very happy with the results.

As you can see, the rim on that BBB is pretty chewed up. But it's a great little piece. They don't make them that slim now. That style is not in favor anymore.

Nice pipes! The BBB was American made in the thirties (longish story) and production stopped, I think, during the war. There were different colored diamonds available; one was off-white, one was red, and I think there was a third although offhand I can’t remember.

Ah, I didn't know that. I need to look at the stampings and see if there's any other indication.

Great job on the retoration, very sweet pipes.
I own a BBB with a similar logo; it oozes pre-war quality and charm.
They are quite rare;
the grain on yours is stunning.
