Dread, that's the way to Martini... I might drop the Vermouth a touch and dirty it up w olive juice. But bless you for not using vodka and calling it a Martini.

What does a glass of Warren taste like?

Nothing yet this evening. I'm thinking of going with ice cream tonight. I found it hard to keep up last night with the port. So, Cold Stone, only two scoops because of the diet, with Hersheys. The diet's not that stringent.

A Martini is made with Gin and Vermouth. You can skip the vermouth and even use vodka, but you are NOT having a martini.
You are enjoying a cocktail.

I prefer the Churchill Martini. Fill a glass full of Gin then look at a bottle of Vermouth.

I'm drinking Bookers. If I drink a mixed drink it's an Old Fashioned or a Manhattan. I'm simple.

I suppose a martini is one way of disposing of cheap vodka or gin, the vermouth might it platable. But great vodka and gin should not be adulterated. Not even an ice cube!
