so I may end up buying 16oz of Aniversario since I love the damned thing.
If I were you I would hold off a little while on ordering a pound of any thing. Them taste buds will change my brother. Small quantities and lots of different blends in the beginning may be the way to go. You will see...

How true! I have only been smoking a pipe for about a year now and started out with strong Cherry or Vanilla blends. A year in I can't even look at 'em anymore. I have found I like my aromatics way more subtle now. I am actually glad I didn't buy any of those early tobaccos in anything bigger than a pouch or tin.
I have not tried anything off your list. I am curious to know how strong the flavoring is.

Once I get them, I'll let you know! Only ordered an oz of everything to try before committing.

Not a fan of Sutliff tobacco's, but those Peter Stokkebye blends are all very good. They're even better with some age. As an earlier poster said; I would hold off on buying large quantities of any one tobacco. As a new smoker it's good to try a variety and find blends that you really enjoy. Once your palate develops and you find some blends that you really like; then buy in the larger quantities.

As far as aros go I have better luck getting flavor from Sutliff than PS. LTF is another one altogether, though. Sometimes I get in the mood for Poofy Drinks and Poofy Tobacco

Before you get too lost in the world of aromatic blends I would suggest you also try a few tobacco flavoured blends such as Sam Gawith's Full Virginia Flake and McClelland's #2015 VaPer. The flavours of many natural tobacco blends IMHO are far superior to those that come out of a bottle.
Regards,
Jay.

There are no good aromatics.
Maybe there are, maybe there are not. Or maybe subjective and objective are nonsense terms entirely.
However, for me, the action is with the natural leaf. Sometimes these can be made to be aromatic-ish, like Royal Yacht, which is the best tobacco ever and OP should try it.

I'll add that to my list of tobaccos to try! Thank you for the suggestion!

H&H El Nino has become almost an obsession for me. It is non-aromatic, but is otherwise difficult to categorize. It tastes a bit like a mild Balkan, and is a lovely introduction to that particular flavor genre. Frog Morton On the Bayou is another very nice blend on the slightly milder side. Enjoy your journey. It's a big world to explore.
