Thoughts on Waltham Broken Cake?

I recently ordered 4 oz. of Ernie's new blend. Unsurprisingly, this is a quality smoke, but I'm not sure what I think about it. The dark fired component is more prominent than it was in Watch City Slices. For me, dark fired blends are an enigmatic lot. I love Doblone d'oro and enjoy Silver Flake. Old Dark Fired? Not so much. WBC is similar to the latter, at least to my tastes. If you're a fan of ODF, WCC's new addition may be worth trying. I'll keep smoking WBC, as it may well be a grower.

Your thoughts on this blend?

I found it MUCH smoother than slices was, at least the batch of slices I had and traded away. I didn't focus in on the DFK as much as you seem to, it's cocoa burley is the big player for me.

I bought some of this when it was introduced, waiting to finish up some other stuff before trying it. Tobacco Reviews lists it as an "Aromatic."
