I was looking into getting a Nording pipe such like this one...
http://www.smokingpipes.com/pipes/new/Nording/moreinfo.cfm?product_id=130708
Which recently sold but I was wondering what people on here thought of them before I spend 100-200 dollars (a significant portion of my spare funds) I know they are a sponsor of this site so I dont expect anything too derogatory to be said but I was wondering just wondering what the general consensus is! Thanks in advance!

Everything I've heard about Nording pipes here on Forums has been good, and I think the enthusiasm

focusses around his larger pipes and mostly freehands, that seem to be his specialty, and I think this

churchwarden would fall in that category. I bought a smaller Nording billiard, and the draw seemed

wrong for the pipe, too open, and the bowl was somewhat thin. I eventually traded off the pipe. However,

meantime I bought one of his economy pipes, called an Eriksen, just a compact bent billiard. It was

partially rusticated and looked every bit the machine made pipe, but it is so solid, so well drilled and

designed, it just won my heart. It has a good stout stem and a just-right bit. Nothing to show off, but

what a little smoker. So it seems to me, go with his big pipes, or his economy pipes for smaller bowls.

Anything in the Eriksen line is going to undermine your faith in higher priced pipes.

I've been drooling over the Nording Fantasy 5 series for weeks, especially the one's that look like melted wax. Gonna have to save my pennies and get one ordered one of these days.

I have one high end straight apple I bought when I met eric many years ago at Cheif Katoonah's in Ridgefield, CT. Great smoker.
Being a hunter I collected most of his hunting series and would only smoke the pipe when I bagged the game. The ones I've smoked all smoke well.

Nording pipes are top notch. I have one in my regular rotation and I don't expect it to ever leave its place of honor. Great smokers and great quality.
