Well Cope is made with dark fired Kentucky but you might try some dark flake unscented. I don’t know of any dead ringers however. These might be in the ballpark though

That's a pretty good suggestion, and DF shouldn't be too hard to find with a little effort.

I've chewed Copenhagen and you arent going to get an exact match in a pipe, but macbaren Old Dark Fired should satisfy you. It's smoking versus chewing, it isnt going to be the same

I guess I am expecting to much since I chew ,but I am really liking a pipe.

Strong and sweet blends, even with their flavorings, like a few of GH&Co blends (Coniston Cut Plug, Bosun Cut Plug) and SG 1792 Flake are the closest thing to taking a dip that I've smoked.

Why not try smoking the Copenhagen? Or is it not possible? Toxic chemicals? Otherwise not so recommended ingredients? But it's chewable. And sailor used to chew their plugs and rope.

don't think you can find similar. I don't think salt is a flavor that translates to smoke well. Could be wrong but....
And the moisture is a key part of copenhagens taste and that's not happening in any pipe tobacco. Best bet would be a half zware shag like drum or something similar. Not the same but about as close as I figure you're going to get.
