One of my many aunts (the Seattle lesbian one) used to adopt retired racing greyhounds. They are nice dogs, very shy and quiet. They really enjoyed outrunning all the normy dogs at the park, you could see the smirk on their faces. One of them once broke a leg by running way too dang fast and slipping on wet grass.

Our new Great Danish Shepherd, Stormr, is enough dog for me. She is over 100 lbs and can hold me on the ground against my will. She gets the zoomies and can unintentionally destroy furniture. She is such a sweetheart though. I was amazed when A neighbor that has three pits told me that he was terrified of her. Ha ha.
She can be very gentle though, and I have seen her out catching and releasing butterflies in the garden.
But, greyhounds are cool. I had a friend who had a rescue back years ago, when they still had dog racing near by.

They do make good pets, but they are rather needy.
A friend had two, they required a lot of attention and care, particularly in the first year. They've never seen food they weren't eating - so you can't let any food out. My buddies got on top of his refrigerator where he had put a loaf of bread. They've never seen toys. If they get out, and see something, they run to it, then run to the next thing they see, and dont return. And they run fast.

We had a salesman that worked for us a while back, and she had miniature greyhounds. They were always breaking their fragile legs. Just jumping off a couch could seriously damage those things. I don't think the regular greyhounds are like that. But, I thought it was so weird to have a dog that was that fragile. I want a dog that can eat someone's face, ha ha.

The German Sheperd is Bairr and the Boxer is Chewwi. Mom named them lol.
German Shepherds are just so intelligent looking. Stormr will set staring at me for a long while looking like she is trying to figure something out, like a math problem. Then she'll walk over and lick me in the nose, ha ha.
